The Comic

Sketchy was first posted in January of 2005, and was originally hosted on the author's Live Journal blog. The usual difficulties arose, including artists block, laziness, and embarrassingly bad writing. Despite this, the comic never completely died off and has been given a new lease on life with its very own webpage and the promise of regular updates.

As much of the original content as possible has been recovered and is being polished up for the new site, although regrettably there are a few gaps in the archives that have been filled in with placeholders. Trust me though, you're not missing much.

Updates occur at least once a week- usually on Sundays, as well as any other time I feel like it.

 

The Author

The comic is both written and drawn by the mysterious Mel Friesen. Little is known about this individual, except what is implied through her artistic expression.

Also her livejournal, twitter, facebook, deviantArt etc.

The issue as to whether the main character in the comic is the author herself, has been answered as a tentative "yes" in cases where said character is exceptionally witty and "no" when portrayal is especially unflattering.
